History: Native, born and raised, to the mountainous winter land of Airyglyph. Captain of the Black Brigade. Albel is the son of Lord Glou Nox, Captain of the Dragon Brigade, now deceased.

Being young and brash Albel attempted to pass the Accession of Flames---a ceremony, which must be undertaken by those wishing to join the Glyphian armies' Dragon Brigade, used to bond with an Air Dragon of their own---before he was ready and consequently failed. As a result Glou sacrificed himself in Albel's stead; though Albel did not escape completely unscathed... His left arm paid a dire price for his foolhardy mistake.

After that he went out of his way to make himself more alone in this world than ever before - secretly harboring a more than healthy fear of dragons. He went on to assume command of the Glyphian armies' Black Brigade which, before then, had not been formed. If there is anyone who took him under their wing as friend and father-figure after Glou's demise it would be Count Woltar whom Albel fervently insists is nothing but a senile old man.

Albel is favored by Airyglyph's King who professes to be 'rather fond' of him, even though Albel gives nothing but cold regard at best, despite his obvious -however guarded- loyalty to the Kingdom itself.

For a very long while (even before Albel's time) the kingdom of Airyglyph was at war with the neighboring kingdom of Aquaria. The two kingdoms were only able to finally call a truce after one blue-haired Fayt Leingod crash landed on their planet...throwing both kingdoms into a bit of an uproar...soon pursued by a power-hungry "alien" people and inadvertently launching the sequestered planet into a bigger picture then its people ever dared imagine.

Particularly---One residing on the "peril-of-the-entire-universe" scale.

It didn't take Albel long to consider himself and Fayt something of archnemesis, and in time, perhaps close comrades even... Deciding he could let no thing and no one but himself bring an end to the life of his 'prey' -- Fayt.

Following the conclusion of the whole universe-threatening fiasco, Albel continued to train, expanding his talents and testing his boundaries and limits. Learning to tap 'Qi' and blending in several fighting techniques. Even going so far as to recieve a tattoo imbued with dragon-essence, wrapped around his torso, to bring the challenge of his dragon-phobia about as close to home as it could get.

After all was said and done; Albel found himself forcibly integrated into an obscure space program hidden within the borders of an estranged neighboring kingdom called Greeton and ultimately crash landed near Dusk Village. He was 'rescued' from the crash-sight by the warrior monk Tenkai Nankobo (formerly the samurai Samanosuke Akechi) who was a professor at Dusk Academy during that time.

This lead to Albel's enrolling at the academy as a graduate student and assistant teacher...fast becoming set on antagonizing and dueling Tenkai (and several other persons) around almost every corner. He actually respected Tenkai/Samanosuke as a great mentor, especially, the more time he spent lurking about Dusk.

It was also there at the academy that he would meet Gailardia Galan Gardios(aka 'Guy') - a certain blond fool - whose path it seemed unavoidable to cross with again and again. Initially Guy both intrigued and annoyed Albel by, in some ways, reminding him of Fayt. However this would lead Albel to an insatiable desire to know Guy entirely set apart from Fayt.

Thanks to the influence of Tenkai(& the rest of dusk academy) and Albel's own militaristic background; Currently he is filling the roll as a Bujutsū(Budō) Master presiding over Dusk Village...heading his very own clan/following and even possessing an estate complete with dojo and students/underlings...etc.

There is a fair amount of room, despite having one of the more humble estates, for his students and any others serving under him to live--so to speak--"on base" / "in house" / "on campus".

Still being far to proud to easily rely on others and much enjoying achieving things by his own grit --- he has yet to form any outside alliances for his house/'family'/clan. And, in much the same fashion, though he does have a select few to assist with instruction and execution-of-~~orders~~directions :: He prefers to spearhead his own business and to do his own teaching.

On the side - He still pursues his talents in the smithy. In fact - having become quite excellent at it. Personally forging many of the clan's own weapons/armors and so forth. As well as taking outside contracts for a wide variety of other items from time to time.
